Carmen's Wedding

Ah yes Carmen's wedding in DC. It was wonderful. I saw the Aerospace museum, Natural History Smithsonian and was able to reunite with new and old friends. Carmen looked beautiful! The DC temple was gorgeous of coarse. I did get to spend about 4 hours in the visitors center waiting so I can tell you all about it. One thing I did get from DC is to NEVER live there. The traffic is horrible! Even at 12 at night!! Yikes...not my cup of tea. DC definitely has a different feel. I have discovered I am a west girl!

Funny story.... At the wedding I put 2 presents on the gift table, one to give to Carmen and Alfonso later. Well we were going out to decorate the car and I had to get this special gift to Carmen (it was a first night bag) well some of Alfonso's relatives saw me take it. Now they speak Spanish and they started saying that the blonde girl took a gift. The whole family new about it. Even Carmen's mom!!! Carmen had to explain that it was something I put in her car...yet it was embarrassing for her. So everyone knows me as the blonde klepto girl! Oh well....I won't see a lot of them ever again. I thought it was hilarious though!

Baby Ellia Visit

I was absolutely ecstatic to see my new niece Ellia. She is so precious and beautiful. It was also nice to see Alicia recovering well. That little girl loves to cuddle and fall asleep in your arms. I personally loved it! It was a nice get-a-way before Fall semester of school started. I can't believe I'm an aunt. Call me auntie Heidi!

Fun places I have been!

I Love New York! Tori and I at Time Square for Spring Break in March.

A self portrait shot of Andy, my roommate Katie, and I!

First day back to school

Today I am officially full blown back to school. After having a whirl wind of a summer as I started seeing clients, worked, and had a couple classes I can only hope for more in the fall. I was up visiting family and saw my little niece Ellia for the first time. Wow she is little and so precious. I loved cuddling with her as she fell to sleep. Bless Alicia's heart trying to get a routine with a baby that doesn't sleep much and always wants to eat. I didn't get to see Timmy, but I hopefully will be up for Ellia's blessing.

While I was in Iowa, my sister Katie and I went to Bourne Ultimatum (which everyone needs to see by the way!) and some guy behind me threw up on me! Luckily it was the last scene of the movie (which Katie missed) because of the "throw up guy" I'll call him. That was wonderful! Avoid theatre 2's first 3 rows at Crossroads theatre in Waterloo!

Mom, Dad, Katie and I also went to see Hairspray, which Dad calls Lipstick, and it was very cute. Definitely up lifting and fun. I wanted to dance afterwards and I kept getting weird looks from my sister Katie.....what party pooper.

So it is hotter than Haites in Kansas! I do love the Flint Hills though, I try to relate them to the Mountains....not much of a comparison, but it will have to do. How is this for my first blog ever?
