Another social/economic experiment without understanding the consequences. Don't get me wrong, I hope this stimulus plan helps me in the future, say come August when I REALLY need a job. I do think that using wisdom when spending and when thinking about the future is important and essential! So how come our lawmakers seem to be rushing and not using so much wisdom? Anyway, I will hope for the best!

Kansas City CrAzInEsS!
Recently I went to Kansas City. I volunteered to take the sister missionaries of my congregation to Independence, Missouri so one of the sisters could see one of the people she taught get baptized! I thought, 'great, nice time to take some time to get away from the lil' Apple and a great opportunity to go to "The Cheesecake Factory"'! Well, the adventure started when I was driving my parent's car (which is on loan because my other car is getting fixed because of the dear I hit). We were quietly cruisin' on the highway and we reached Topeka. Well, I was minding my own business, chatting it up with the missionaries and other friends in the car and someone moves in my lane unannounced, not signaling. Meanwhile, I'm honking my horn a lot, but the car must not have heard me because it kept coming! I slam on the breaks and I had to move off to the emergency lane on the left side where, mind you, there is a slab of cement! Well, the car didn't run me off the road enough to hit the edge of the cement barricade, but goodness, the car just kept going as I am honking!!!! Well, we go to the baptism and the Visitor's Center at Independence, which was so wonderful! We all then head to the Cheesecake Factory. Well, we were almost at the Cheesecake Factory and stopped at a light. All of a sudden someone rear-ends me!!!! I know, what the heck?? Well I pull off to check and see any damage. Meanwhile, the guy who rear-ends me gets out and is yelling, saying that someone hit him causing him to hit me. He was yelling that the guy drove off. He was pretty expressive. He asked if I was ok. We looked at our cars. He was also from Iowa, which we both joked about how people around here can't drive. He kept expressing him self and calling to us saying "Baby, are you ok?" He then asked where we were going and if we wanted to go to the bar with him and his friend! Lol!! Anyway, I asked him for his insurance information if need to contact the company. There was no damage, I don't think even a scratch!! But, I thought it was a good idea of a "just in case" option. Well, that is when things turned. The guy started acting fishy, saying he had to go. I walked up to the window where is friend was and asked again. They looked puzzled and said they don't have any and said they had to go. Meanwhile, the sister missionaries gave me a pass-a-long card with the new lds campaign "Truth Restored". I told the guys that, since there was no damage, I was willing to look pass this. I gave them the card and they were all excited saying, "Ooo baby, is this your card? Is this your Myspace?" I just laughed and said no, but it is a website they should check out. We said our good-byes and we were on our way. We all were a little shook up, but luckily there was no damage!
Well, after the Cheesecake Factory, we were driving home and someone was chatting it up and wasn't paying too much attention to her speed (I won't mention any names). Well, a cop pulled me over! Arrrg, I know! I told the my friends that I couldn't get a ticket because I didn't need one on my insurance. Ha, well the cop asked me about why he pulled me over, yadda, yadda. I told him how fast I was going saying we are on our way home. Well, the cop let me go!!! yay! I think it was because the sister missionaries were in my car! Phew......
Anyway, we all got home safely, but man, what a night. I think I just don't want to drive anymore I tell ya! The moral of the story is, watch your speed, and have the sister missionary and angels watching over you!
